Design of a new build low energy, sustainable family home. The contemporary proposal has been designed to sit harmoniously within the existing rural context and planning sensitive South Downs National Park. The proposal is for a new two storey dwelling which would replace the existing cottage building. It has also been designed with sustainability and site ecology in mind from first principles, starting from building orientation, massing proportions, fenestration arrangement, and a high level of detail following passivhaus principles. Internally proposed ground floor would be comprised of; a snug, WC, utility room, open plan kitchen/dining room, living room , car port, cycle store, plant room and garden store. The proposed first floor would be comprised of; four bedrooms, en-suites, bathroom and dressing room.
